AALF in Gabon again puts traffickers behind bars. Only 5 days after arresting the ivory traffickers with 44 kg of ivory in the same town 4 traffickers were arrested trying to sell 2 leopard skins. The first three of them (2 sellers and a driver) were arrested in a swift operation carried out by the Judicial Police with the assistance of the Provincial Directorate of Water and Forests and AALF team. After arrival to the police station they named a fourth trafficker as an owner of the skins. After he was also arrested, all of them pleaded guilty. A weapon with caliber of 12, used to killing big mammals, leopards and other wildlife was also seized during the operation.
