A baby chimp saved in Guinea again
Guinea, 17 Apr 2015
On March 31st a man killed a chimp female, and kept the baby. Two weeks later he was arrested together with his accomplice by police during their attempt to sell the baby. The arrest was realized in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment of Guinea, the Chimpanzee Conservation Centre and supported by GALF.
The baby was then transported to the sanctuary at Chimpanzee Conservation Centre in Houte Niger National Park, where it will recover and later join other orphans, also victims to the pet trade.
