An ape trafficker arrested in Cameroon with 19 chimp skulls !!
Serge, Loveline and the rest of the team pulled a great operation that now closed 52 traffickers put behind bars this year - one per week. And by that achieved our annual target for Cameroon!
The trafficker moved the skulls from the east to Yaounde. It gives a snapshot of the massacre of apes for the illegal wildlife trade.
This is the second time we see a chimp skull painted in red and now we solved the mystery - the trafficker said the skull was painted as black magic to protect him from arrest and make the contraband invisible. Evidently, he needs to replace his witchdoctor....
