Cameroon, 4 Dec 2014A man arrested in Magba in the west region of Cameroon with over 30 Chimp skulls and limbs among which was a live baby chimp. The two traffickers were caught and put behind bars as an offense against these protected animal while awaiting trial.

He was caught in a crack down operation led by officials of the Upper Nyong delegation of Forestry and Wildlife assisted technically by LAGA. Arrest of 3 major traffickers of ivory
Togo, 6 Feb 2014Following investigations carried out by TALFF and l'Unité Mixte de Contrôle des conteneurs and l'Office Central de Répression du Trafic Illicite des Drogues et du Blanchiment (OCRTIDB) 2126.3 kg of ivory tusks were seized in Lome on January 29, 2014 at the Port of Lomé. The seized contraband belonged to the traffickers arrested earlier. Two of them were Togolese, the third man was Vietnamese.
